The Chinese Super League is fast becoming a menace to the Premier League and probably other leagues in Europe will be affected. China is not really known for football but technology but they leaving no stone unturned as they aim to get on the same level with clubs in Europe.
Chelsea star Oscar is on the verge of joining Shanghai SIPG for a fee worth £52 million. The Brazilian who joined Chelsea in 2012 Has failed to cement a place in Antonio Conte’s team and will reportedly earn £400,000 a week which rank as the seventh-highest of all time.
Man United duo Zlatan Ibrahimovic and captain Wayne Rooney are the latest to be linked with a mega move to the Asia country. Ibrahimovic appeared not to be interested in the Chinese Super League. He snubbed them in the summer and moved to England and he has done the same again preferring to remain at Man United for another season.
Both Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao, which is the richest club in China and Beijing Guoan are interested in the services of the England captain and a mouth-watering deal is on the cards. The clubs are ready to offer Rooney as high as £700,000 a week.
The 31-year-old still has two years left on his current £300,000 a week contract but there is no possibility of him leaving Old Trafford in January. He is two goals shy of Sir Bobby Charlton’s all time scoring record time and he, currently on 248 goals, surely wants to surpass that.
