Arsene Wenger has been left wondering what could have been the cause for his side’s usual November slip. Arsenal thought they have escaped when they took the lead against PSG but it still roar its ugly head again.

The Gunners shot themselves in the leg by conceding a late goal against their French opponent in the Champions League and blew their chance of topping the group.  PSG had taken the lead via Edinson Cavani but Arsenal fought back to lead 2-1; the Gunners were awarded a penalty which was converted by Olivier Giroud – who was starting his second game of the season- and Macro  Verratti scored an won goal to put Arsenal ahead only to concede their second goal of the match as Lucas Moura effort took a deflection off Alex Iwobi.

The French champions are now at advantage to finish of the group. A win for PSG over Ludogorets will guarantee their top four finish, the overall goal difference or the scoreline in Basel match notwithstanding, as PSG scored two away goals as against Arsenal’s one in the first leg.

They will now face Europe heavyweights like Barcelona, Juventus, Napoli, Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund in the last 16 stage.

The Gunners have crashed out at the last 16 stage in the past five seasons and unless a miracle happens they could face the same scenario.

The London club have been wasteful in front of goal and their lack of creativity showed again in the game. They have now drawn last three matches across all competitions.

The usual November slip appears to have started already. They have not finish of their Champions League since 2011 which has subsequently been leading to exit at the second round stage since then.
