Some of the first team players have felt the lashing of Jose Mourinho since his arrival at Old Trafford. It has been the complaints of feigning injury, non challant attitude and lacklustre performance from the former Rea Madrid boss.

The Portuguese coach is already looking towards potential players he is aiming to bring to Manchester United as he plans to overhaul the squad despite spending around £150 million in the summer.

He had expressed has surprise at the cub’s “first-team culture” and a serious shake-up is expected in the January transfer window. We look at some of the players that may likely face the ext door at the club.

Memphis Depay

The Dutch striker has failed to replicate the performance that made him the best player in the Eredivise league since has arrival at Old Trafford. And this season the likes of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Zlatan Ibrahmovic are all preferred ahead of hm. An exit from the club is high.

Luke Shaw

The England international missed the whole of last season due to injury and has been limited to few appearances this season. Withdrawing from the match against Swansea on the bass of injury irked Mourinho and he wouldn’t mind replacing the defender.

Chris Smalling

Like Shaw the former Fulham defender also faced the possibility of exiting Man United. He also withdrew from the Swansea match and was criticised openly by Mourinho alongside Shaw.

Henrikh Mkhtariyan

The surprise inclusion on the list is the Armenia international. The £26 million signing this summer has not featured for United since the 1-2 loss against Man City back in September when he was substituted at half time. His former club Borussia Dortmund has decided to offer him an escape route in January. It is not certain if he will remain part of Mourinho plans after the manager said the attacking midfielder is not ready for the rigours of the Premier League.

Other players that may also be axed by the former Inter Milan coach are Ashley Young, Maroune Fellani, Daley Blind and Morgan Schneiderlin. Mourinho is known for his zero tolerance for complacency and high standard.
