According to ESPN, Chelsea, Arsenal and Everton are battle for Hamburg defender Josha Vagnoman. The 17-year-old is regarded as one of the best young players in Germany which has attracted interest from Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig.
Vagnoman has made one appearance for the Hamburg first-team, making a 20-minute cameo against Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga on March 10, but he could be on his way out of the Volksparkstadion this summer.
Arsenal’s Head of Recruitment Sven Mislintat has an extension knowledge of Germany and identified Vagnoman as a potential summer signing. The Gunners have reportedly wanted the versatile fullback on a number of occasions.
Chelsea are also keen on his signature and have been frequently monitoring his development. Everton are also interested, and their new Director of Football Marcel Brands has been trying to bring him to Goodison Park. With Vagnoman’s contract being up in the summer, Hamburg are still trying to tie the defender down to a new deal.
He was the second youngest player in history to play in the Bundesliga (17 years and three months) and was in the matchday squad for the two league games that followed against Vfb Stuttgart (March 31) and TSG Hoffenheim (April 14).
