According to The S*n, Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart is struggling to find a Premier League suitor. The 31-year-old spent the season on loan with West Ham United but lost his starting place to Adrian and ended up making just 19 Premier League appearances, keeping a paltry four clean sheets.
Hart was recently left out of the England squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia and now has an uncertain club future this summer too. The experienced shot-stopper has just one year left on his deal and isn’t likely to be offered an extension given he hasn’t played for the Sky Blues for two years.
Signed from Shrewsbury Town in 2006, the 31-year-old has gone on to make 348 games in all competitions, keeping 137 clean sheets. However, Hart’s late game for the club was a Champions League qualifier on August 2016.
He’s been loaned out to the likes of Torino and West Ham as Pep Guardiola deems him surplus to requirements but selling him may not be easy either. City aren’t short of money, but it’s unknown if they’ll let Hart run down his deal for another year before leaving for free.
The ‘keeper could embark on another loan move this summer to see out the final year of his contract before being given a farewell by City in recognition for his service since 2006.
