According to The S*n, Bournemouth are interested in Celtic defender Kieran Tierney and hope to agree a deal at the end of the campaign. The 20-year-old has been outstanding this season and was named Celtic’s Young Player of the Year for his efforts.
As a result of his form, he’s been linked with a move away from Parkhead in the last year, with Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal reportedly keen on his signature. However, Tierney has made it clear he’s not thinking about leaving and rebuff all interest to remain at Celtic next season.
The Scotland international has risen through the youth ranks to the first-team in 2015 and has gone on to make over 120 appearances in all competitions. Tierney’s contract runs until 2023 so Celtic aren’t in a rush to cash in on the coveted defender, although Bournemouth are hoping to convince them.
The Cherries would guarantee the left-back regular first-team football, something Arsenal, United and Spurs couldn’t if he opted for a Premier League giant instead. The S*n says Bournemouth could line up a ‘lucrative bid’ to land his signature which could leave Celtic with a difficult decision to make.
