Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has emerged as Real Madrid‘s number one man to replace Zinedine Zidane at the Bernébeu, should French boss leave at the end of this season.

According to The S*n, Zidane is likely to face the exit door this summer if his side fail to retain the Champions League, with Los Blancos having performed so poorly in La Liga.

Klopp is believed to be the ideal man to replace the 45-year-old due to his attacking brand of football. However, the report lacks a credible source to make this story believable.

Klopp leaving Liverpool at this stage of his career would be bizarre. The Reds have one foot in the Champions League semi-finals and could finish second in the Premier League this season. He’s also been eyeing up summer transfer targets, so he’s clearly only got eyes for Liverpool.

Real’s apparent interest in both Klopp and Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah does show has far they’ve come this season. They’re unlikely to win the title but have been in fantastic form during the second half of the campaign.

Klopp has been credited for the Reds’ development in his three years as manager but it doesn’t seem likely that he will leave for another side anytime soon.
