After failing to make a great title defense, Premier League Champions Chelsea are reportedly planning a shocking bid for Luis Suarez, as he was linked with a move away from Barcelona and has favoured Liverpool as his likely destination.

Suarez has been known to be one of the deadliest striker in all of Europe in his time at Liverpool, when he starred for the Merseysides for three-and-a-half-year, before bagging himself a big money move Barcelona back in 2014.

Questions was raised if he would be able to live up to his expectations in Spain, but he continued his impressive form for the Spanish club, as he has so far since joining in 2014, has found the back of the net 140 times and assisting 76 goals in 178 appearances for the Catalan club. Having the honours of 2 La Liga titles and a Champions League title.

However, latest reports covered that the Catalan Giants are planning on dump the prolific forward to clear space for the imminent arrival for Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann.

The Spanish giants have been linked to the France International for a while and they will be fully expected to land Griezmann, but club Vice president Jordi Mestra has publicly confirmed that the club budget is limited after the signing of Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool in the winter transfer window.

Which means that the Catalonian will have to make a sweep in the team before they can make any further signings on the future, with reports stating that Suarez could be the just the player to be sold out from the team as they will be expected to take a large sum for him.

Meanwhile, this has not gone unnoticed in the Chelsea board as they are stated to be preparing to table an offer worth £80 million for the Uruguay International as Antonio Conte is running out of attacking options to use in his team and further strengthen it.

The Blues summer signing Alvaro Morata has not lived up to his expectations at Chelsea as he continues to struggle for form, with Olivier Giroud also signed in the winter as a backup plan.

Morata is has been sidelined for a while now, and the Blues needs am Europe’s striker to strengthen their team further and stand a chance at the Premier League title and the Champions League.

Suarez could be the best signing for the Blues in the summer, if Barcelona were to offer him up at all.
