So far this season, Celtic has only completed the signing of Lewis Morgan and Marvin Compper but the club have been linked with several players in the window with the latest is of the club being linked with loan moves Chelsea duo Charly Musonda and the Blues midfielder Lewis Baker.

Glasgow Rangers new signing Jason Cummings has told Ranger’s official website he cannot wait to face keen rivals Celtic.

Cummings signed for Rangers on Monday on a loan deal until the end of the season and hopes to become a fan favourite at Ibrox this season.

He joined the club from Nottingham Forest, where he was signed by former Rangers boss Mark Warburton, who ended up getting sacked in December.

The Scottish striker said that playing for Rangers against Celtic will help him up his game, as he thinks he is a big match player for the Gers.

He said:

“I love playing in bigger games, and the bigger the game is, it motivates me more. There are a lot of big games in this league, especially the Old Firm games.

“Something I have always wanted to do since I can remember is to play in an Old Firm game and I can’t wait to be part of one.”

Cummings added that he hopes Rangers can chase down the Scottish champions, adding:

“Obviously as a team we want to push Celtic as much as we can.”

Rangers will host Celtic in the next clash which is on March 10. The Gers are currently 11 points behind the league leaders but are high on confidence after holding the Hoops to a draw at the Parkhead in December.

Rangers appointed Graeme Murty as new manager until the end of the season and he has brought in Sean Goss and Jamie Murphy also on loan deals.
