Ryan Jack tops the list of possible transfer target to Ranges this summer as its now clear Clint Hill, Philippe Senderos and many others are likely to face the exit door at the end of the season.

Rebuilding Rangers’ team under Pedro Caixhinha is about to start. In some ways, it already has since the Portuguese boss has shown his willingness to bring young talents such as Myles Beerman and particularly David Bates into the starting XI at Ibrox.

It goes without saying that major changes are needed at the club this summer in terms of the playing personnel, with the gap between themselves and Celtic looking as wide as ever right now. Clint Hill, Philippe Senderos, and others will leave the club anyway, but who else can be expected to come to the club? Here we look at three possible transfers Rangers could complete this summer.

Ryan Jack (from Aberdeen)

Ryan Jack

Naturally, Caixinha’s main point of target will be on bringing in new defenders at Ibrox this summer with Hearts’ Callum Paterson already on top of his to-do list, but the bigger picture is that they need a better quality on defensive midfield player to stop opposition teams in their tracks. Ryan Jack fits the bill perfectly for the Portuguese man and co in this regard; Jack is fit, plays box-to-box football, can pass and can break up play. He even scores goals in crucial times.

Aberdeen his present side will of course be very strict to retain their star man after their Scottish Cup final appearance in May, though Jack will be out of contract immediately afterwards. Should the Gers manager to get the Dons captain for free it would be a fantastic piece of business.

Barrie McKay (to Nottingham Forest)

Barrie McKay

Barrie Mckay, although not a well-known talent, has been disappointing against the better sides and has produced very little performance against Aberdeen and Celtic. This is not lost on Caixinha, though he is highly thought of by former manager Mark Warburton and so, although Rangers will not let him go to Warburton without a mouth-watering fee, a deal looks possible at some stage.

Graham Dorrans (from Norwich)

Graham Dorrons

The former West Bromwich Albion player is tied with Norwich until 2019 at Carrow Road and may command a mouth-watering fee. The money issue is another issue Rangers will have to get over but surely, they should try as much to find a way to get the deal done. In terms of his overall quality, not many will disagree that Dorrans would improve Rangers hugely and would therefore be a great signing.

He grew up as a Rangers fans and, as has been the case in past with many a Rangers player. An upbringing as a Bear and having the club’s actual interest at heart can make a huge difference. Therefore, Rangers wouldn’t be getting a player who put in 70-80% effort. Rather they would have a player who would always be giving as close to 100% as is physically possible at all times.
