An opinion by Donald Stephen on why he thinks Adam Lallana and Sadio Mané are the two most effective transfers Liverpool have completed in recent times.
Liverpool are having some brilliant time in the Premier League. The Reds still have a great chance to qualify for the Champions League next season and will need to be on their toes in the upcoming transfer market in order to compete with top sides in the years to come. The Anfield giants have made some questionable signings over the years and have spent mouth-watering fees on players who do not fit at the club.
However, they have also found some genuine stars who are still helping them this season. Liverpool are not traditionally a club which spends big on European players but they have certainly added some quality players to the first team recently. Here are two of the best such signings from Liverpool in recent times:
Sadio Mane:

It is hard not to mention the difference Sadio Mane has brought to Liverpool lineup. With Sadio Mane in their starting XI, the Reds had only just one game, a stat which tells its own tale. The Merseyside broke their transfer record at the beginning of this season to land yet another player from St. Marys. The Senegalese man moved to Anfield last summer for a reported £34m, fee, making Liverpool most expensive African Player.
This season he has scored 13 goals and has picked up eight assists in all competition and stands as Liverpool top scorer, in spite of missing a big part of the season. Mane has registered just 27 appearances for his 13 goals in the league and his pace and versatility was what Liverpool missed in the past season. The 25-year-old is one of the first names on the team sheet for Klopp when fit and though he is close to being the most expensive player for the Reds has ever purchased, Mane has already repaid his worth.
Adam Lallana:

The former Southampton skipper was one of the first players that Liverpool Another player who has been consistent for Liverpool. Lallana was Liverpool’s first choice to replace Luis Suarez with. £25m was spent on the 28-year-old, who has taken his time to adjust to the challenges at Anfield. Lallana was name England’s player of the year for 2016 and is one of the most inform players in the domestic league.
Lallana has already played 85 games for Liverpool, bagging 16 goals, and is integral to the plans for Jurgen Klopp at Anfield. A player who is able to run fast and knows his way around in the midfielder, the Englishman has seven goals and seven assists to his name and is one of the most effective players for Liverpool at the moment. The 28-year-old had two quite seasons before but Lallana has certainly stepped his game up and stands as Liverpool most effective transfers in recent times.
It is ironic that both Sadio Mane and Adam Lallana were bought from the same club. The likes of Matip, James Milner, Emre Can, Divock Origi also deserve special mentions for their never giving up performances for Liverpool.
