Three stars Tottenham Hotspur should sign in the summer including Luis Muriel.

Tottenham Hotspur has proved to be reliable in putting on a good show for their fans this season as they are the closest to the Premier League leaders Chelsea. Manager Mauricio Pochettino will be expectant and hope his team can have a strong finish and will be looking to improve his attack in the summer transfer window. Dutch star has been doing well as of late but Spurs need a more reliable striker who would not mind being a substitute and would be able to deliver in time of need.

Pochettino will have less to spend this summer due to the construction of a new stadium and will have to scout for attackers with less asking price. Here are three of such under hyped strikers who  have been excelling where they are and would be a good target for Pochettino as backup for Harry Kane.

Luis Muriel (US Sampdoria):

Luis Muriel

The Colombian star has been remarkable at the Italian club, having no difficulty finding the net since his moved to the Serie A club back in 2015. He has had an exceptional display this season as well, picking up 12 goals and 9 assists across all competition. He is a player that would be an instant hit with the Spurs fans. The 25-year old has been praised for his technique on the ball and potential. His dribbling ability gets him past his opponent where he goes on to work wonders with his foot. He will no doubt be outstanding in the Premier League. Words of him planning a move to Chelsea have been making round but Spurs should consider him to take up the backup duty for Kane this summer.

Anthony Modeste (FC Koln):

A top goal scorer in France for a while now, Modeste’s time at Koln this season has been highly productive. He has a lot in his experience bank and at just 28 and he will be ready to take the big leap and play beyond France. Champions League football will draw his attention to Tottenham. Acclaimed for his strength and finishing abilities, Modeste would fit well in the Premier League and Tottenham would be a good place for him to start in the league. In 31 appearances across all competition this season, he has scored a whopping 25 goals and 3 assists. If he is able to carry on in the same vein at White Hart Lane, he might rise up the pecking order even above Vincent Janssen next season.

Bas Dost (Sporting CP):

Bas Dost

After a couple of years out of the limelight, the Dutch star has revived his career with a move to the Portuguese league, where he has been a huge success. At 27, his strength his rivaled by none in the club and he is also one of the best finisher in the league at the moment. Dost can lay claim to 30 goals and 5 assists across all competition this season. He could be the ideal backup for Harry Kane, relieving Vincent Janssen of some of his role. Dost only just recently moved in with Sporting CP this season but at his age, he is as the happening time of his career and Pochettino will do well to bid for him in the summer.
