Liverpool does not have to worry about qualifying for the Champions League as their hard work has made their qualification inevitable. One of the most linked star to the Anfield is on the verge of being hijacked by Tottenham Hotspur’s manager Mauricio Pochettino as he is keen or bringing in new additions to empower the squad for the European game next season. Pochettino’s top priority is to increase the depth of the attack squad for the upcoming game.
The manager will be disappointed with playmaker Erik Lamela, who got injured during their 2-1 EFL Cup loss to Liverpool on October 25 and set to miss the rest of the season and this would leave Pochettino scouting for another option to replace the 25-year old if he would not be able to play next season. Here are three players that would bring balance and pace to Spurs attacking options next season:
James Rodriguez (Real Madrid):

Rodriguez has drawn the attention of many clubs with the likes of Bayern Munich, Liverpool and PSG in hot pursuit of him. Pochettino’s hope of landing the Colombian lies solely on an offer of a regular spot on the first team. He could command a fee of about £60m in the coming transfer window. Finding the perfect replacement for Lamela will be a bit difficult as there are few players who can live up to his standard but Rodriguez have been a prolific goal-scorer better than most of the Spurs team members excluding Harry Kane. He will without a doubt bring more vitality to the team.
Gyfil Sigurdsson (Swansea):

Though not as good an option as the Real Madrid Star, Sigurdson is one of the players who could be moving out of Swansea, who are just few points shy of the relegation zone. If Swansea should lose the relegation battle, Pochettino will be able to get a hold of the Icelandic midfielder this summer. His contract with the Welsh outfit expires in 2020 but his asking price is placed at £20. He has found the net 9 times and set up 11 goals this season. He would be a great addition to the Spurs.
Riyad Mahrez (Leicester City):

Mahrez’s consistency has dropped recently but he still has a record of 9 goals and 6 assists across all competition this season for the Foxes. The 26-year old, who was named the PFA player of the year last season, still has a contract with the King Power outfit valid till 2020. He has been continuously linked with a move out of the club and could come at a price higher than £30m. His time at Leicester will have added to his experience and this would be of advantage to the Spurs.
