Arsene Wenger confirmed negotiations for contract extension with both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil is now at a stand-off.

The duo’s contracts are set to expire come season end and according to reports by Standard Sport on Tuesday, they are stalling in putting pen to paper.

All talks concerning the star pair have been put on hold until the summer transfer window with Wenger in haste to finalize all deals in order to be able to focus all his attention on the league campaign.

“At the moment we do not have an agreement,” Wenger told beIN Sports. “We have decided to focus on the end of the season and talk about it during the summer.

“It is the same situation with Ozil, because once you don’t get an agreement and it lasts it’s not good. It’s better you get it out and sit down during the summer.”
