Alexis Sanchez has contributed immeasurably to Arsenal since joining from Barcelona and his role this season also has been immense. He has been involved in 21 goals for the Gunners in 27 appearances this season, scoring 16 of them.

The Chilean attacker was criticized for letting his emotions got the better of him in the 3-3 draw with Bournemouth and for being substituted against Swansea City.

However, summer signing Granit Xhaka has seen beyond that and believed that the Chilean international is not just about scoring goals but he is also a role model for other players especially youngsters at the club.

The Swiss midfielder has commended Sanchez impressive work rate which he except other players should emulate. Sanchez has been instrumental in helping to keep Arsenal’s Premier League title hopes alive.

Arsenal next three games are against Burnley, Watford and Chelsea which could be the defining period for the club and Xhaka share the same believe too.

Winning Burnley and Watford matches may be possible for Arsenal but defeating Chelsea now may seems a little difficult. The Gunners defeated the Blues in the reverse leg back in September but much has changed since then.

Chelsea are topping the league while Arsenal now need to play catch up. Antonio Conte’s men have only lost once in 14 matches, winning the rest, Arsenal on the other hand have lost matches even from winning positions and are now eight points behind their London rival.

Chelsea rivals should forget about the Premier League as five teams vie for three Champions League spots.
