Arsenal have boosted by the return to action of striker Danny Welbeck ahead of their congested fixture in December and much to the delight of the fans.
The Telegraph reported yesterday that the England international is making positive progress in his rehabilitation and he is already back in training.
The 26-year-old forward picked up a knee injury which required a surgery in May against Man City after just returning from a 10-month lay off in February. He was ruled out for nine months but it seems he would be back ahead of schedule and could kick the ball again this year.
Report stated that the former Man United man started light training and could join his team-mates in the coming weeks.
He should be available for selection during the festive but Arsene Wenger may not want to rush him in to the first team due to the severity of his injury.
Arsenal will play eight games before January 3 and his return couldn’t have been at a better time. He has scored 13 goals and assisted eight in 49 appearances.
