We are rating club’s chances of winning the FA Cup glory this season and we’ve listed three out of eight clubs vying for the crown. This is the the concluding part of the list…
Wolves
The Wanderers are not just in fine form during FA Cup matches , they are equally in blistering form in the Premier League.
The Monileux outfits currently occupy the seventh position in the League standings and they are very much in the race for an Europa League qualifying spot.
Having defeated Liverpool, Shrewsbury and Bristol City to progress to the quarter-final round, Wolves will be hoping to defeat in-form Manchester United when both sides meet next month.
Should they eventually pass United’s challenge, Wolves will bolster their chance of lifting the trophy. As of this moment, we believe they have 5/10 probability of being the FA Cup Champions.
Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace, who have just three wins from seven matches in all competitions, are yet to crash out of the competition as they recorded a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Doncaster Rovers on Saturday. They also defeated Grimsby and Tottenham in the third and fourth round of the competition respectively.
Their performances so far haven’t been too impressive and they currently occupy the 13th position with just 27 points from 26 games.
Roy Hodgson’s men now face Premier League counterparts Watford in the quarter-final stage of the competition and they are likely to defeat the Hornets at the Vicarage Road.
Progressing to the semi-final round is very much possible for the Eagles but winning the trophy is uncertain and very slim. The Selhurst Park outfits are rated 4/10 to lift the much-coveted trophy by the end of the season.
Brighton & Hove Albion
Just as Crystal Palace, the Seagulls are far from brilliant in their performances since the turn of the year.
Brighton started this season in a free-scoring form but that has been a thing of the past as they now struggle to pick point from Premier League matches.
Nonetheless, they’ve managed to find their way through to the quarter-final round after defeating Derby County 2-1 last weekend.
Up next for the Seagulls is a trip to the Den Stadium where they will be up against Millwall next month and they are certain to get positive result. Their chances of winning the trophy is valued at 4/10.
Manchester United
One of the two favorites to win the world’s oldest football trophy, Manchester United continue their winning streak in the League with 2-0 victory over Chelsea last night.
The Red Devils have faced and defeated two strong teams, Arsenal and Chelsea, to get to this stage of the competition and winning it shouldn’t be a difficult task.
However, they face a tricky test at the Monileux Stadium where they will tackle ‘giant-killers’ Wolves who defeated Liverpool in the third round of the competition last month.
We believe Solskjaer’s men have 8/10 chance of beating local rivals Manchester City to the glory.
Manchester City
In-form, free-scoring, and consistent Manchester City are the last team in the list but they are favorites for the title.
Guardiola’s men scored 17 goals in their last three FA Cup fixtures, hence, they are obviously ruthless and dangerous in front of goal.
They travel to Swansea next month for the quarter-final fixture and nothing but victory is expected by their supporters.
Bar any lost of form or injury, we tip the Cityzens to lift the trophy for the first time under Pep Guardiola with 9/10 rating.
Fingers crossed as we continue to follow how things unfold in the competition. Quarter-final matches are scheduled for 16th and 17th of March 2019.
