Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard has been Real Madrid’s longtime target and that is not going to change in the next transfer market.
The Los Blancos have been targeting the Belgian playmaker since 2013 when they were desperately in search of a perfect replacement for Mesut Ozil who left for Arsenal prior to the start of 2013-14 campaign.
Chelsea failed to release Hazard in 2013 and it has been the same story since that time up till date but the Spanish Capital now stand a chance of completing his signature in the summer.
Firstly, the West London outfits currently occupy the sixth position in the Premier League standings, meaning Maurizio Sarri’s side won’t be part of next season’s Champions League competition should things remain this way till the end of the season.
Considering the fact that Hazard’s current contract with the Blues expires by the end of this year, Real Madrid will want to sign him as free agent in the summer by offering him an eye-catching weekly wages which would be too huge to reject.
With all of these on the mind of Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri and his employers, it is important they begin to search for the Belgian’s replacement as soon as possible.
One man that Sarri must approach is Roma’s young playmaker Cengiz Under. The 21-year-old has been one of the shining lights in Serie A this season and moving to Chelsea won’t be too soon for him.
The player has been in hot form for the Stadium Olimpico outfits since then start of the campaign, he has netted six goals and nine assists.
Just like Eden Hazard, the Turkish youngster is a versatile player who can operate as a playmaker, right winger, left winger and as a centre-forward.
Though he might not be as skillful as the former Lille star player, Cengiz still has much time to develop his dribbling skills to Hazard’s level and even surpass it.
Hazard is in his late 20s signifying that Chelsea fans could witness a decrease in his impressive display with the team in the next three seasons.
Contrarily, Cengiz is in his early 20s, therefore, the Blues are going to enjoy regular mouthwatering performances from the Turkish star, should he eventually link up with the team.
According to transfermarkt, Cengiz is valued at £31.5m but the price tag could be increased by Roma in the summer as result of the huge number of clubs chasing after his signature.
Arsenal, Barcelona, Manchester City, and Manchester United are also keeping close tab on his progress with the youngster who has three years left with the Serie A outfits.
