Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur lock horns in the first semi-final of the FA Cup at Wembley on Saturday.
United’s form has been inconsistent of late, with Jose Mourinho’s side falling to a 1-0 defeat to West Bromwich Albion before beating Bournemouth 2-0.
Tottenham have fallen short in their last two games but will be fired up in their home stadium given there’s silverware up for grabs.
Man Utd and Tottenham’s previous meeting:
The last time the two sides met was at Wembley in January’s Premier League clash, where Tottenham claimed a 2-0 win.
Christian Eriksen opened the scoring after just 11 seconds – officially recorded as the Premier League’s fastest-ever goal. Spurs doubled their lead in the 28th minute after an own-goal from Phil Jones.
Players to watch:
Romelu Lukaku – Manchester United:
Lukaku came on as a second-half substitute for the Red Devils on Wednesday night and scored a brilliant goal in the win over Bournemouth.
The Belgian international has now recorded his best-ever scoring season, with 30 goals and seven assists in all competitions.
The former Everton and Chelsea striker has found the back of net in every FA Cup round this season, scoring and creating six goals in four games, so Mauricio Pochettino‘s men need to be wary of his threat.
Harry Kane – Tottenham Hotspur:
Kane is 11 goals ahead of Lukaku in the Premier League this season and has been indispensable in the Tottenham attack.
The England international has recently returned from injury and has contributed three league goals in April.
Kane is the fourth player in Premier League history to score 20+ goals in three consecutive seasons and has netted four in the FA Cup this campaign.
He’ll be key for Tottenham to get a win over United this weekend.
Prediction:
Football Weeks are backing Tottenham Hotspur to win the FA Cup this season, so we believe they can see past Manchester United in the semi-finals.
