Chelsea fans have slammed boss Antonio Conte for not starting centre-back Andreas Christensen against Watford in the Saturday Premier League kick-off.
Christensen, who came up through Chelsea youth ranks after his move from Brondby in 2012, has started three games for Chelsea this season, and he played a full 90 minutes in the 3-3 draw with Roma on Wednesday.
However, the 21-year-old has to make do with a place on Chelsea’s bench on Saturday, with Conte opting for a back three of Antonio Rudiger, David Luiz, and Gary Cahill.
And the west London club supporters aren’t happy, with the majority wanting to see Christensen start ahead of Cahill in the Blues’ squad.
One among the fan said that it’s time for the player to leave the Stamford Bridge and join a club that appreciates him.
Another among them said, it’s a nonsense idea that Cahill is consistently being started ahead of Christensen by Conte. Football Weeks has rounded up some of the best tweets from Chelsea fans that came up ahead of the 12.30pm kick-off on Saturday.
Christensen please leave of this is how it's gonna be… Nonsense Cahill starts once again !
