Dele Alli has reportedly begun contract talks with Tottenham over a new deal, according to the Sun.
The British outlet claims that the England international opened talks with Spurs about a new huge deal which is set to skyrocket his weekly allowance to £100,000-a-week to match with the club top earners Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris.
Football Weeks understands that that 21-year-old still has four-year remaining on his current deal with Spurs, but the Wembley outfits want to reward him for his progress.
The report adds that the attacking midfielder is widely understood to be on £50,000-a-week and a fresh contract should help fend-off interest from some of Europe’s top flights.
Alli is consider a vital player for the Lilywhites and has gone from strength to strength since he moved to Tottenham in 2015.
The ever-present has made a brilliant start to the new season with two goals in his first five games, but couldn’t help the Spurs in a goalless draw against Swansea on Saturday.
What’s good in this for Tottenham?
Harry Kane may bring a hat full of goals to Spurs and Toby Alderweireld may be the rock in the defence, but playmaker Alli certainly has the X factor they need.
The youngster has enjoyed a meteoric rise in the past couple of years and is now a key player of Pochettino’s team.
He has proven that he can score goals in the top flight and fits in perfectly in a front three. Spurs are hoping to establish themselves as an elite club in England and know they will have to adjust their wage structure to do so.

Dele Alli is certainly a player that could earn more money elsewhere so handing him a new £100-a-week deal is a very smart move. Tottenham should everything in their power to fend-off interest for the England international.
