Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will be looking to make changes as his side welcomes FC Cologne in the Europa League on Thursday.
Football Weeks has made a selection on how likely the Gunner are to play:
Goalkeeper – David Ospina
David Ospina is highly likely to start between the sticks replacing Petr Cech in Europe once again
Defence – Holding Mertesacker Monreal
Laurent Koscielny is suspended after his sending off in the last 16 tie against Bayern Munich in the Champions League last season, meaning the Gunners captain Per Mertesacker is likely come in to lead the side versus Cologne, alongside youngster Rob Holding and Spain international Nacho Monreal, as the north London outfit deploy a back three once again.
Midfield – Nelson Elneny Wilshere Iwobi Kolasinac
Youngster Reiss Nelson will be looking to get a start at right-back, coming in for Spaniard Hector Bellerin at right-wing back.
Jack Wilshere is ready for his first start of the season for Arsene Wenger’s side, potentially coming in to replace Aaron Ramsey. Mohamed Elneny will start in a holding role alongside the England midfielder, with Nigerian international Alex Iwobi potentially player further forward in support of the front two.
On the left-wing back, I believe Sead Kolasinac should continue his magic in that role against Cologne.
Forwards – Lacazette Giroud
With Alexandre Lacazette likely to be rested for the Gunners upcoming clash against Chelsea on Sunday, French compatriot Olivier Giroud will replace him up front. Theo Walcott is also in line for a rare start for Arsenal.
The duo will be hoping to put a marker down, after the former Lyon striker nailed down a starting role up front following his switch from the Ligue 1 giants for a club record fee. Arsenal are primed favourite to win against FC Cologne with a prediction of 3-0 when they on the German side.
