Newcastle United earned an impressive 1-0 away victory against Swansea on Sunday and made it two straight wins in the Premier League.

The Magpies earned three points as defender Jamaal Lascelles’ net in a bullet header in the second-half to separate the teams.

The North-East club followed up their 3-0 demolition of West Ham United with another positive result against Swansea and currently sit 10th in the league table.

Rafael Benitez’s side were considered to have a little chance going into their clash at Swansea, but managed to put in a brilliant defensive performance to keep out their opponents.

The Magpies now turn attention to a home clash against Stoke in their next Premier League match and will be aiming to make it three wins on a roll.
