Leeds United are reportedly one of four sides reportedly interested in landing the signature of Wolves’ exciting winger Jordan Graham before Thursday’s 11pm deadline.[spacer height=”20px”]
According to theDaily Mail, it claimed that the Yorkshire giants are battling Championship promotion rivals Hull City and Fulham, but 2015-16 Premier League champions Leicester City look to have made the first move.[spacer height=”20px”]
It is said that Craig Shakespeare’s side are considering to sign Graham, after they identified the Wolves ace as the perfect replacement to Tom Lawrence after the Welsh international joined Derby earlier this summer.[spacer height=”20px”]
The 22-year-old suffered a long-term knee injury last season but has now returned to full fitness, which could see finally be able to pass a medical should any interested side look to sign him.[spacer height=”20px”]
Here, Football Weeks weights up the pros and cons and if truly a deal is likely to occur.[spacer height=”20px”]
Is this move a good one for Leeds?[spacer height=”20px”]
The Whites already have plenty of options out wide after confirming a permanent deal for Hadi Sacko as well as bringing Macedonia international Ezgjan Alioski to Elland Road this summer.[spacer height=”20px”]
Kemar Roofe and Stuart Dallas have also started the season in fine form, both finding the back of the net in the Championship and although Graham would be a brilliant signing, he is simply not needed.[spacer height=”20px”]
However, Roofe has continued to prove his worth as a striker in the last two games following the sale of Chris Wood, and if Thomas Christiansen opts to change his preferred position, a winger could be signed to bolster the ranks.[spacer height=”20px”]
Graham could be that man, after proving to be somewhat of an assist machine in the Championship by creating seven goals in 16 career appearances in the second tier of English football.[spacer height=”20px”]
Is this going to happen?[spacer height=”20px”]
With the chances of Premier League football difficult to turn down, the Foxes certainly sit in pole position to sign Graham before Thursday.[spacer height=”20px”]
However, Leeds could promise the youngster guaranteed first-team football in a side that are looking to get promoted, which could tempt the former Aston Villa ace.[spacer height=”20px”]
Jordan Graham has less than a year remaining on his contract and will become available on a free at the end of the season if Wolves do not renew his current deal, which could see Nuno Espirito Santo’s side cash in now.[spacer height=”20px”]
But with less than two days to go in the transfer window, any interested parties will have to act fast if they are to land the tenacious attacker.[spacer height=”20px”]
