History

Born and brought up in Stuttgart Germany, the highly sensational 21-year-old started his footballing as a youth with VFB Stuttgart and registered his first appearance for senior side at the age of 17. Werner nailed a place in the first team and made a huge impact for three long seasons before he was shipped to RB Leipzig before the start of the just concluded season.

The 21-year-old has also represented the German national team at every junior stages and also his first senior appearance earlier this year. Werner is one of the most exciting youngsters on display in Europe at the moment and could be a superb addition to Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Style of Play / Strengths & Weaknesses

The German youngster is an excellent drinker who loves to have the ball at his feet. At just in his age, he is still a liability in the air. When holding the ball, Werner had enough technical ability to cover his frailties.

He has featured as a lone striker for he German side all season but has shown that he is capable of playing on the wings with brilliant effect. His speed and ability to turn gestures with ease allows him to get past players easily. The German is a decent finisher and can make himself a nuisance in the final third and is expected to play as a backup to the first team stars at Anfield next season.

He also needs to work on his defensive duties but is a player with a lot of potential and is someone that the German boss will not want to miss out o this summer.

What the future holds

Having just registered his national debut under Joachim Low, Tino Werner is destine for greatness in the near future. He needs regular game time to prove himself at the top side and to achieve that he needs stay out with Leipzig. However, an offer from Liverpool and their new gaffer may be sound difficult to turn down and if he can prove himself, his compatriot is not one to keep keep him out of the first team.
