Bayern Munich got their name in history as the first team to win the Bundesliga title five consecutive times with their win over Wolfsburg last weekend.
Their 27th top tier silverware in total was achieved with a 6-0 triumph over Wolfsburg at the Volkswagen Arena, a match that was as intimidating as all their previous games this season.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti, who can lay claim to league titles in four of Europe’s ‘big five’ leagues, continued the work of predecessors Pep Guardiola and Jupp Heynckes to claim the title glory as manager in a season that has been one of the best for the club with only two defeats in 31 games.

Despite drawing two matches before the clash with Wolfsburg, Ancelotti’s team was aware their position at the top of Germany’s top flight would be immune to attacks in form of RB Leipzig with a win secured In Saturday’s fixture.
The League’s top goal scorer Robert Lewandowski picked up two goals, while Thomas Muller, Arjen Robben and Joshua Kimmich all found the net. David Alaba, however is credited with the best goal of the day with an inch perfect free kick as Bayern ensured they crossed the finishing line in grand style.

With just three more games to go, the Bavarians now has a ten point lead over the nearest contenders Leipzig, and the victory has helped fans and supporters put their bad run in the Champions League, where they were humiliated by Real Madrid at the quarter final stage, behind them.
