Over the years, the South American continent has been the home for producing some world-class talents in the game of football. In football presently, attackers in the likes of Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, Gonzalo Higuain, Alexis Sanchez, Coutinho, Neymar and the list goes on and on; are all from South America and the amount of talent there is certainly incredible.
Therefore, it is not a surprise that the top teams across Europe scout the South American markets extensively to get their hands on the next best talents who are on the brink of bursting into the bigger scenes. Liverpool too are believed to be focusing on talents coming from these parts, with many promising attackers linked with a move to the Anfield over the recent years.
Here we take a look at two gifted footballers from South America, who Reds boss Jurgen Klopp should target in the summer of 2017.
Malcom

The 20-year-old wide player burst into flames in the 2015 Brazilian Serie A season, where he played a hand in his former side Corinthians’ triumph, with 5 goals from 29 appearances under Tite, who is now the Brazil National Team coach.
Malcom superb displays meant that the Brazilian attracted top interest from the European continent and in January 2016, Malcom sealed a move to French outfit Bordeaux. The winger has been in brilliant form for his team this season and has managed to bagged 8 goals from 30 appearances across all competitions, and has also has a record of 5 assists.
Malcom is blessed with a tremendous amount of pace and good dribbling abilities, he has been utilized in the wide areas, where he can make use of his abilities to the fullest, to stretch the opposition defences. He can also operate through the middle if needed and has shown a strong eye for goals in his young career. With Jurgen Klopp’s side lacking out and out wingers in their ranks, the Brazilian international could provide some much-needed cover for the Reds.
Emanuel Mammana

Here is another midfielder to have come out of Argentina in recent years, Emanuel Mammana has been destined for bright things in the future.
At just 21, the centre-back has been a subject of interest for several big European clubs in the past, he moved to French side Olympique Lyonnias last summer and has gone on to register 22 appearances for his new club, bagging goals as well.
Mammana is quite comfortable whenever he has the ball at his feet and possesses a good range of passing as well, which would be ideal for the way the Reds operate. His reading of the game allows him to stay a step ahead of his opponents and this has been a key feature of his game.
Mamanna shares quite a unique record with one of Liverpool’s favourite and finest players in recent years, Javier Mascherano. The Barcelona defender and Mammana are the only two players to have made their international debut for Argentina, without having featured for the youth teams. It goes on to show how highly he is rated in his homeland. With Liverpool struggling in defensive areas, Mammana could prove to be the answer.
