Tottenham’s departure from the European competitions provided them with the time and energy they need to put all of their focus on the Premier League this season. They presently occupy the second place in the league table 10 points behind league leaders Chelsea. Although they have little hope of overthrowing the Blues, they have all it takes to make it to the Champions League next season and manager Mauricio Pochettino would already be making plans for the future.

To boost their chances in the Champions League next season, Spurs would need to sign new players in the summer thereby releasing a few of their players. Here we bring you two players who could be moving away from the White Hart Lane this summer.

Moussa Sissoko

Moussa Sissoko could leave Tottenham this season

The French man has failed to live up to expectation. Despite getting ample opportunities in the first team to prove himself, he has fallen so short that he might be on Pochettino’s list of players to let go even just after one season at the club. It has become a norm in the football world to give players two season to prove themselves before being kicked out for under performance but Sissoko might just be an exception.

Spurs need quality players who can help them in their race to win the Championship League next season and Sissoko does not possess the needed skills. Tottenham should not hesitate in release him. Italian Outfit AC Milan has indicated their interest in his service and the number of interested clubs would increase once its summer. Sissoko might be out of London by the start of the next season.

Ben Davies

Ben Davies on likely to face the exit door this summer.

Though Davies still possess little skill at the left-back position, his performance is not what was expected from him when he got signed to Tottenham.

At 23, he had enough chance to prove himself  after he was presented with the opportunity when first choice left-back Danny Rose got side-lined with an injury but his display has been disappointing. He had his worst moment in a game against Liverpool where his side lost 2-0. His presence on the pitch caused Spurs to lose the game.

Pochettino would be looking to reinforce the central park and though he is known for his affinity for youngsters, Davies’ days up at white hart lane might be numbered. Clubs like Chelsea, Manchester City and Crystal Palace have all been making a move for the Wales International and Spurs should not delay in selling the defender this summer.
