Manchester United currently sits at the 6th position in the Premier League points table and despite their recent fine run of result, Premier League title is still afar off. Their only hope now lies in placing in the top four to qualify for the Champions League. To achieve qualification for the Champions League, the Red Devils would need these three players to keep up:

Daley Blind:

The defender has been on the provisional team as the United manager Jose Mourinho has preference for Luke Shaw and Matteo Darmian for the left-back position. His performance this season has been good but he must come out of his shell and do better to help his side to a strong finish. Shaw originally was not part of Mourinho’s first team while Darmian will be a substitute for Blind and the Dutchman would retain his position permanently. His action this season would go a long way in helping United to achieve top-4 success.

Paul Pogba:

Pogba has failed to live up to expectation this season despite his signing being the most expensive of the club. Primarily a central midfielder, although he is also capable of playing on the left, in a holding role, or even as an attacking midfielder, Pogba has been described by his club United as a “powerful, skillful, and creative” player who has “an eye for goal and a penchant for the spectacular.” He is expected to help his side in overtaking the smaller clubs. The Frenchman would need to buckle up and aid his team to gaining a spot at the Champions League.

Wayne Rooney:

The United club captain is also a sparsely used player. He has not made it to the first team this season but has been a regular substitute and he’s always had huge effect on any game he’s used. At 31-year-old, the English man still has a lot to offer and he has shown what he is capable of. Rooney should keep on his toes as he might be driving force to take the United squad to their success.
