Antoine Griezmann has been on the radar of Manchester United for quite some time now and a deal could be struck in the summer, but they could still miss out on him based on one key condition that United must avoid.

The Atletico Madrid forward is reportedly ready to snub the Old Trafford outfits if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.

Jose Mourinho’s side are currently placed sixth in the Premier League but are two points adrift Arsenal who are closing in on the teams above teams.

At per report s from The Sun, Griezmann who has an £85 million release clause will reject a move to the Manchester club if they fail to secure a Champions League spot.

The 25-year-old will be on the same salary as his France teammate Paul Pogba – £15 million a year if he moves to Old Trafford.

The club hierarchy is reportedly confidently of securing his securing signature and will be handed the famous No 7 shirt recently vacated by Memphis Depay.

Griezmann is contracted to Atletico Madrid until 2021 and United are believed to have agreed personal terms with French forward though a fee is yet o be agreed on.

Arsenal are also reportedly interested in the attacker and United failure to qualify for Champion League next season could pave way for the London club to strike deal with him.
