Tottenham woes continue after losing 1-2 to Chelsea. The White Hart Lane outfits were dumped out of the Champions League after losing to Monaco by the same score line in the midweek and Chelsea did nothing but to compound their woes. Spurs’ draw at Chelsea last season ended their Premier League title hope and they faced the same scenario again on Saturday.
Records were broken at Stamford Bridge. Both clubs went into the match with some records to protect but only one escaped at the end of the entertaining match. The Blues were on a six match winning run without conceding a goal while Tottenham have been unbeaten this season going into the match.
Chelsea had to fight from one goal down to win the match 2-1. Christian Erisken had put Tottenham ahead in the 11th minute before a stunning strike from Pedro drew Chelsea in the 45th minute. Victor Moses scored the winner six minute after restart.

The Blues defence was breached after 601 minutes in the league without conceding. Antonio Conte’s side have not conceded in the league since the 3-0 loss at Arsenal on 24 September and were on a six game winning run without letting a goal in. Eriksen fired in a goal in the 11th minute to end that run.
- Jinx unbroken as Tottenham Lose Unbeaten Run
Though the Lilywhites broke Chelsea clean sheets record they left the Stamford Bridge without a point – losing their unbeaten start to the season. Chelsea ensured that they preserved their winning run by scoring twice in six minutes of either half of the match. Spurs have now failed to win at Stamford Bridge in 30 games, dating back to February 1990.

The Nigerian international capped up an impressive performance with the winning goal. His transformation this season has taken all by surprise to the extent of Conte taking swipe at former Chelsea boss José Mourinho for his treatment of the 25-year-old. The 3-4-3 has suited the former Wigan perfectly and he is thriving in his position in the right wing back.
