Manchester United are reportedly set to spend £135million on Barcelona’s striker Luis Suarez, according to reports from the Daily Express.

Spanish news outlet Don Balon also admits the United manager Jose Mourinho is ready to break the bank in completing the move for the Uruguayan forward.

The former Liverpool forward is currently in this third season with the Catalan champions but is yet to sign a deal with Barca which has raised rumours about his departure from the Nou Camp.

The Nou Camp outfits have already tied down the club other forward Neymar and Lionel Messi down to huge contract and could be willing to splash the cash in tying down Suarez to a new deal as well.

Mourinho is said to be a huge fan of the 29-year-old Uruguayan and is considering a bid for him at the end of the season if he fails to agree a new deal to stay at the Nou Camp.

Former Paris Saint-Germain’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s superb form has waned in recent weeks, with the striker having just scored twice in his last 11 appearances for the Red Devils – and Suarez could be the ideal replacement on the Swedish forward.

However, report according to the Spanish outlet had made it known that we’re not the only one monitoring Suarez situation with Barcelona.

Our fierce rivals Manchester City are also believed to weighing up a move for Suarez back to the Premier League amid Sergio Aguero’s uncertain future.

The Argentinian forward is believed to be down the pecking order at the Etihad stadium with the Citizens boss Pep Guardiola, having dropped him for the club recent clashes against Everton, Barcelona, and also he wasn’t in the club starting xi nor on the bench in the EFL 1-0 defeat, despite having bagged 11-goals in his first six games this season.

The City’s club executive Ferran Soriano is said to have informed the La Liga giants that they would make an offer for the forward should Barca suggests that they’re ready to sell the star forward.

Soriano used to work at Barcelona as well as with City and he believe his relationship with the club could prove key in any potential pursuit, though know Suarez’s preferred option is to stay at his current club.

So far this season, Suarez has bagged 10 goals for Barcelona and he had 59-goals in 53 appearances as Barca battled their way to the league title last term.
