Introduction 8
All five English clubs managed to progress through to the knock out phase of the Champions League and all but Chelsea managed to top their group. Tottenham’s first place finish was particularly impressive given they not only had Borussia Dortmund to contend with but also defending champions Real Madrid.
Tottenham’s Champions League form is a world away from their Premier League form, with the north London club currently sitting in fifth place. This form has created long odds for a bet on the Premier League top four, with Spurs predicted to finish in fifth place, with the only consolation being a likely higher finish than their north London rivals Arsenal.
Their next Champions League match sees them travel to Turin to take on Serie A champions Juventus, who themselves are facing a more disappointing domestic season, as they currently sit in second place behind Napoli.
With five teams in the Champions League knock out phase, the Premier League has a real opportunity at filling all four of the semi-final spots. If Tottenham can knock out Juventus and Chelsea knock out Barcelona, then a useful quarter-final draw could make that a real possibility.
As well as Turin and Barcelona, English footballs fan also face trips to Seville, Basel and Porto and in order to make the most out of the trip, the following infographic has been created, to inform those travelling of the cost of the trip and what they can do while there.
