Premier League sides Crystal Palace and West Bromwich Albion are interested in signing Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths but the reigning Scottish champions are not looking to part ways with the fans’ favourite, according to The Daily Record.

Griffiths is a fan’s favourite at the Parkhead due to his give it all performances for the team and has been a regular in Brendan Rodgers’ team this season.

With reports gathering momentum over the future of his teammate Moussa Dembele, the Daily Record had stated earlier that Griffiths is also on the books of Premier two Premier League clubs.

Dembele earlier this month, had been subject of intense transfer speculation to Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion who are looking to add more depth to their squad this January.

Crystal Palace, however, started the current season slowly but have been rejuvenated since the appointment of Roy Hodgson’s in September, but the Eagles are over-reliant on Christian Benteke who has been misfiring so far this season.

With a lack of other options, Palace wingers Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend have also been fielded in the striking position at times this season.

West Brom on the other side, have struggled to score consistently this season, despite the club’s summer acquisition of Jay Rodriguez, and clearly the signing of Griffiths from Celtic would boost the Baggies.

As the Baggies fight against a potential relegation battle, Alan Pardew‘s side are expected to spend largely to reinforce their squad this month.

For Celtic, letting Dembele potentially leave this month would be made more manageable given the form of Griffiths, who has led the Bhoys line well, scoring six times in the process.

However, the money Palace and West Brom could potentially offer would give the Scottish champions a decision to make – but Griffiths exiting Celtic this month would be a surprise for us all.
