Rooney then strode forward with the ball and struck a beautiful right-footed shot that left Petr Cech stranded.
Shortly afterwards, Morgan responded to an Arsenal fan who asked the question, “How bad is Xhaka?” Morgan replied on his Twitter account, saying, the Switzerland international “He’s £35m bad.”

Gary Lineker then responded to Morgan saying he’d received “dog’s abuse” when he suggested that Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante was “significantly better” than Xhaka, saying that didn’t happened “so much now”.
I got dog’s abuse on here for suggesting Kanté was significantly better when they signed him. Not so much now. https://t.co/mqeJLhISur

However, Nacho Monreal equalised for Arsenal in the 40′ minutes, before Arsene Wenger‘s men turned on the style with goals from Mesut Ozil, Alexandre Lacazette, Aaron Ramsey and Alexis Sanchez wrapping up the scoreline to 5-2 victory.
Granit Xhaka signed for Arsenal for a fee in the region of £30m – Arsenal’s third-most expensive transfer – from Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer of 2016 and has struggled to live up to his price tag ever since. Xhaka’s registered 55 appearances for the north London side, scoring four goals with seven assists to his name, but the Swiss’ also received two red cards as his aggressive style of place often backfires. Xhaka’s frequent mistakes are taken up by Arsenal fans and the mistake on Sunday could have been costly. The Gunners were in control until Rooney’s goal spread panic in their defence. Arsenal almost conceded another goal straight after when Cech made an uncharacteristic mistake. Xhaka might not bad as bad as some Arsenal fans like to make out, but he’s certainly not repaid the £35million fee yet.
