With talks about Chelsea signing Russian World Cup star Aleksandr Golovin this summer looks bleak, the Blues could consider the singing of France international and Lyon star Nabil Fekir.

However, this will only be happening if either Willian or Eden Hazard leave the club this summer window of which seems likely that the duo will join Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively before end of the window.

Chelsea new head-coach Maurizio Sarri have only signed former Napoli midfielder Jorginho since his appointment as Antonio Conte replacement. Now reports coming from France say Fekir, who looks very close to joining Liverpool a few weeks ago, is now a target for Chelsea.

Elsewhere, Premier League rival Tottenham Hotspur are also believed to be interested in the France World Cup winner but the North London club looks unlikely to meet Lyon’s asking price for the playmaker.

The abrupt change of Fekir’s move to Liverpool was one of the top stories of the summer. The Champions League finalist were seemingly assured of signing him but Lyon’s £53million asking price and couple of fear of recurring knee injury, the Reds had to change their mind.

Fekir, who came on as a sub in France World Cup final win over Crotia, has always been a trending topic every window. The midfielder is one of the most sought after star in Europe after netting 22 goals in all competitions for Olympique Lyonnais last season.

He could have been the one with the Number 10 shirt number but with Liverpool recently handling that to Sadio Mane, this is a sign that the Red has finally give up the ghost about signing Fekir.

Aside this fact, Jurgen Klopp‘s side look to be out of funds for new acquisitions this summer following the £65million record signing of Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker which many believe it’s their final activity for this summer window.

As it stands, Chelsea, as per Novibet, are 5/12 favourites to sign Fekir this summer, with the Blues said to be preparing a whooping £50million record move for the France World Cup winner.
