Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo set to join Estudiantes on loan deal

According to Daily Mail, Manchester United outcast Marcos Rojo is set to join Argentinian club Estudiantes on a loan deal in this transfer window. The Argentine footballer has been struggling to feature regularly for the Red Devils and therefore is pushing for a move away from Old Trafford to get more game time.

It is believed Rojo will move back to the Argentinian outfit where he began his professional career in 2008, earning 43 league appearances for the club before joining Spartak Moscow in 2010. Although the Argentine didn’t last long in Russia and subsequently made a transfer move to Sporting Lisbon, then joining Manchester United in 2014.

In five and a half years at Old Trafford, he racked up 122 appearances for the club and won the Europa League, League Cup and FA Cup. His game time has reduced massively in recent years with just 27 appearances to his name since the beginning of the 2017-18 season.

With his future at the club all but over, it is understood that the former Sporting Lisbon star will now try his luck at Estudiantes where Gabriel Milito, his former teammate, is currently at the helm of affairs.
