Manchester City’s forward Gabriel Jesus is reportedly expected to be out of the team for up to three months after sustaining a broken metatarsal in his side’s win over Bournemouth.
The Brazilian international lasted just 14 minutes of his side Monday’s clash on the south coast with the 19-year-old sustaining a knock to his foot during the contest, before receiving medical treatment on the pitch.
City’s manager Pep Guardiola has already revealed he is “praying” the former Palmeiras to only be out of the team for a short time but if the reports from Spanish outlet AS is anything to go by then the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich’s manager hope of seeing him returning back to team has been dashed off as the report claimed he could be miss for up to two or three months due to a broken fifth metatarsal.
Therefore, he could then miss the remainder of the season with the Premier League scheduled to end in May, making an umimpressive start to life in England.
However, in his first four Premier League outings for the Citizens, he has seen the net three times and his brilliant performances has seen Argentine Sergio Aguero down the pecking order at the Etihad.
City fans have taken to social media and are, understandably, gutted at the news. Manchester City were unavailable for comment on these reports.
