Juventus agree deal to seal transfer of Higuain to Chelsea

Gonzalo Higuain

Juventus and Chelsea have agreed a deal for the transfer of Gonzalo Higuain. The Argentine intends to reunite with his ex-boss Muarizio Sarri and the transfer is likely to be a done deal in few days from now.

Higuain have already given a positive response to Chelsea yesterday afternoon, while Fabio Paratici also gave his approval of the Pipita’s move to London.

Higuain will join The Blues on a six-month loan deal, although Chelsea will be given the opportunity to extend the player’s loan for another season if they could both reach a possible target in the second part of the season.

Initially, Juve had the intension to sell Higuain on a permanent deal but Chelsea are not willing to spend so much money for a 31-year-old striker. The two clubs were able to reach an agreement on favourable terms on each side that could allow Juve not to have Higuain back in Turin next summer.

AC Milan however, are working on securing the signing of Krzysztof Piątek as a direct replacement to Higuain.
