Everton hope to agree deal with Crystal Palace for 25-year-old

According to The Sun, Everton have entered the race to sign Crystal Palace and Ivory Coast winger Wilfried Zaha this summer.

The 25-year-old is coming off the back of fantastic campaign with the Eagles which saw him named Club Player of Year.

Zaha’s fine form has led to interest from a number of clubs this summer and Everton are believed to be on the list of suitors.

Having played such a big role in Palace’s recent survival, Zaha is now being tipped for a move to a side at the other end of the table by his own manager Roy Hodgson.

The 25-year-old left Palace for Manchester United in 2013, but struggled for form and playing time in his two-year stint at Old Trafford – four games, zero goals.

Such toils in Manchester led to him being loaned out to Cardiff City and Palace before he returned to his former club on a permanent deal in 2015.

And since he’s come back to South London, he’s contributed 48 goals in 125 games.

The report has suggested Liverpool, Chelsea and reigning champions Manchester City are also interested in his services and would have to pay £60m to land his signature.

Nevertheless, Everton could be a good move for Zaha. The Toffees are hoping to bring Marco Silva is as their new manager and will have an attack full of pace –  Yannick Bolasie, Theo Walcott – which could see them shine next season.
