Edouard has been fringes of the first-team this season, making just 10 starts in the Scottish Premiership, but won the hearts of supporters after scoring the winner against Rangers at Ibrox earlier this month.
There is plenty more to come from the youngster, but he’s due to return to his parent club at the end of the season. He was asked if he’d consider staying at Celtic Park beyond this summer but gave little away.
The French u19 international paid tribute to Celtic, manager Brendan Rodgers and the supporters but is only interested in finishing the campaign strongly before he makes a decision on his future.
“I do not think about what will happen next season. I’m having a lot of fun here at Celtic. It is an extraordinary club, with a superior coach and great fans. I want to focus solely on my football to help Celtic as best as I can for the remainder of the season,” he said.
With PSG boasting stellar attacking talent in the form of Julian Draxler, Angel Di Maria, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani, Edouard may be wise to seek another club to guarantee himself regular playing time next season.
Celtic have dominated the league under Rodgers, currently sitting 10 points clear of second place, scoring 59 goals in 30 games. Their attacking players have flourished, so Edouard might be open to staying in Scotland for another year.
