Newcastle captain Jamaal Lascelles lay down the example perfectly against Swansea and his man of the match performance helped the Magpies earn three points.

He managed to score the only goal of the game with a well-timed header and was also influential in keeping a clean sheet.

Lacelles is remarkably not a guaranteed starter in the team, but lay down a market against the Swans and is set for a longer stay in the starting XI.

The centre-back faces competition from Ciaran Clark and Florian Lejeune for a starting position, but that can only be good for the squad.
