Arsenal title race was finally and officially over after losing 1-3 to Chelsea in the Premier League over the weekend.
The goalkeeping area has become one of the concerned issues for the club. Petr Cech has been a fantastic shot stopper but it is becoming evident that age is catching up with the former Chelsea keeper and cannot be viable option for Arsenal in the long-run.Embed from Getty Images
The 34-year-old was at fault for the Blues’ third goal, playing a clearance into the path of Cesc Fabregas who shot into an empty net. There have been calls that Cech should replaced with second choice keeper David Ospina or Wojciech Szczesny who is currently on loan at AS Roma but none of the two is up to the of Thibaut Courtois (Chelsea) or David De Gea (Manchester United) or Hugo Lloris (Tottenham).
That being said, Arsenal must consider signing a new goalkeeper in the summer and here are three choices to consider.

Ten years younger than Cech, the Bayern Leverkusen keeper would have been Germany number one choice if not for Manuel Neuer. He is rising at an alarming rate and will breathe fresh air into that area. He has a proven record at saving penalties and can also handle big occasion.

At 23, the Sevilla man has the potential to become one of the best keepers in Europe. He has kept 11 clean sheets in 29 appearances this season, including an incredible five clean sheets in Sevilla Champions League group stage matches. His height and ability to deal very well with crosses as well as exceptional reflexes would make him a good purchase.

11 clean sheets in 21 games this season is not a bad record for the 24-year-old Atletico Madrid man. The Slovenia international has proven records to compete with the best in Europe and he communicates well with his defence. But he won’t come cheap.
