Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has taken to social media to thank Mesut Ozil assistant after his impressive debut for Arsenal on Saturday.
The former Borussia Dortmund striker made his first appearance for Arsenal against Everton and he scored one of Arsenal’s five goals in their 5-1 thrashing of Everton at The Emirates.
Aubameyang was lining up with Ozil for the first in north London as the Gunners impressed in their first game since the close of the January transfer window.
And he was clearly pleased to be linking up with his new team-mate Ozil as he celebrated the victory over Sam Allardyce’s side with an Instagram post which read below:
“About Last Night ???? #Repost @m10_official.”
The pair will be hoping to play for Arsenal when Arsenal return to Premier League action on Saturday lunchtime with a crunch clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley.
The Gunners are currently in sixth place in the Premier League table but head into this game knowing that a win for them would move their side just a point behind their bitter local rivals in the race for Champions League qualification.
Arsene Wenger’s squad finished in fifth place in the Premier League last season and had to settle for a spot in the Europa League.
