Rangers, have their own new boy from Aberdeen in the form of Ryan Jack who joined the club in the summer transfer window as a free agent on a three-year-contract.
As we all know, the Scottish Premiership’s top players often end up earning a move to either Celtic or Rangers. The Hoops currently have in their ranks Scott Brown signed from Hibernian, Stuart Armstrong signed from Dundee United and their most recent is Jonny Hayes signed from Aberdeen who joined the club in the summer for a reported fee of £1million.
With Aberdeen currently rocking the second position in the table and still flying with brilliant results under Derek McInnes, who ironically rejected a move to Rangers himself earlier this season following the Gers sacking of Pedro Caixinha, the Old Firm need look no further than Aberdeen where we have some talents waiting for their time to shine in a big money move to one of the country’s footballing powerhouses.
All that being said, Football Weeks has come up with a list of three Pittodrie stars Celtic and Rangers should consider a move for before the window get shut.
Currently on loan at Aberdeen from Celtic – second time in his career – the 22-year-old has developed into an high prospect week in week out. His impressive performance for Aberdeen have not gone unnoticed which bagged him an international call-up for Scotland. He earned his debut for Scots during their friendly match against the Netherlands last autumn. Though earning an international call-up doesn’t really add up but rather if he’s grown enough to earn a place in Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic lineup.
Christie has been loaned out three times now by the Scottish champions and, if he doesn’t get a place when he return to the Park Head at the end of this season, there will be no doubt be many clubs home and abroad will look into his situation. The Scottish has been on record before saying he will not return to Celtic being a “shirt filler.”
