Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo, who signed for Juventus on Tuesday, will be handed the number ‘7’ shirt ahead of his four-year’s deal with the Seria A giants. This shirt number have been Coloambian’s Juan Cuadrado’s for the past two season with Juventus.

Juventus, who broke the bank in a €112m deal to sign the former Manchester United, announced his arrival on their official website “Cri7tiano”, substituting the letter ‘s’ for ‘7’.

The announcement from the Italian champions’ website suggests the player will continue to wear the number ‘7’ that he did during his stay with Manchester United and Real Madrid. This is the same number Ronaldo’s been wearing that won his five Champions League titles and five Ballon d’Ors.

This means the Colombian, who had been wearing the number 7 shirt for the past two seasons could return to his former ’16’, number he had been wearing when he first arrived at Juventus.

Ronaldo is joining Juve on the back of 44 goals in 44 appearances for Real Madrid in all competitions last season and he’s line for the upcoming Ballon d’Or for 2018.
