According to media outlets making the rounds, Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard had reportedly back to his boyhood club this week to begin his role as Liverpool Academy Coach.
The former England international looked glad to be back on the training pitches as he enjoyed his first day in his new role as the Reds Academy Coach.
He returned to his boyhood club after hanging up his boots last year as he choose to pursue a career in the coaching role.
Gerrard looked to be comfortable on the pitches after taking up a full-time role at the Kirkby youth complex, where he will be involved in the professional development phase of the young players.
The former Liverpool captain will work under the guidance of Academy director Alex Inglethorpe at the club.
Here are some of the best pictures after Gerrard made his return to the training pitches.
